Set the default Hotel and F&B shares for an employee's recorded payroll cost or an asset's depreciation.
Before you start
You need accounting management access. Employee allocations also require payroll viewing access. Select the correct property and confirm the month from which the new split should apply.
Steps
- For an employee, open their staff profile and select Employment. For an asset, open its detail page in Accounting → Fixed assets.
- Find Hotel / F&B cost allocation and review the current split and effective month.
- Choose Edit allocation default.
- Set Effective month, F&B allocation (%) and Hotel allocation (%). The two percentages must total 100%.
- Choose Save allocation default and wait for Allocation default saved.
- Choose Review monthly allocations to inspect the employee or asset in the corresponding Labour or Assets tab of Overhead & allocations.
Expected result
The saved default determines how the employee's payroll cost or the asset's depreciation is shared from its effective month when monthly allocations are calculated. It does not change the employee's salary or the asset's recorded value. Closed months keep their saved figures.
If you cannot make a change
Ask your accounting administrator to check your access if the edit option is unavailable. If another person has changed the record, choose Reload allocation or Reload, inspect the latest split and make your change again. For a correction to a particular month, review its monthly allocation before changing a continuing default.
