The current designer cannot rename or replace an existing saved template in place. To change a QR template, create an independent design from it and save a new template. Existing designs and published menus do not inherit changes to templates.
Steps
-
Select the intended property and open F&B → QR Menu Designer → Saved templates. You need permission to manage menus; only an administrator can manage templates marked Portfolio.
-
To edit a template, enter a Design name and choose Use template on its card. This opens an independent draft. Change its content, branding or layout in the designer and check Live mobile preview. Connect the current property's products if using a template from another property.
-
Choose Save template, enter the new Template name, review Template availability, and choose Save template again. Return to Designs → Saved templates and check the new entry. Saving with a new name creates a separate template; it does not rename or overwrite the original. Ask your administrator or support team if you specifically need the existing template changed in place.
-
To delete a saved template, check its name and Property or Portfolio label, then choose the trash icon on that card, labelled Delete template followed by its name. This deletes the template immediately; there is no separate confirmation dialog. For a portfolio template, this removes it from the shared template library across properties.
-
Check that the template disappears from Saved templates. If an error appears, resolve it and check the list again. Deleting a template removes it as a starting point for future designs; existing drafts, published releases and their menu assignments remain in place.
