Steps
-
Open F&B → Workspace → Day Close. Choose the business date and outlets; the date defaults to today in the property's timezone.
-
Under 1. Review sales, compare Restaurant and Bar sales. Expand a row for categories or select an amount to view its supporting transactions. Mixed orders can appear in both department counts; the overall count remains unique. Room service is identified separately.
-
Under 2. Check payments, compare expected payments, collections, unpaid balances and differences. Enter Cash counted for each applicable outlet and add a note where needed. Not counted is not zero cash.
-
Review What needs checking and follow its transaction actions. Use Back to Day Close to return without losing the selected scope or cash entries. Fix missing evidence and blockers; an authorised exception submission retains the issues for another reviewer.
-
Under 3. Close the day, check the checklist and choose Submit day close. A disabled button explains what must be resolved. The submitted run shows Waiting for approval.
-
A different authorised user opens the run in Past day closes, checks View report and chooses Approve day close. The maker cannot approve their own close. If activity changed after submission, refresh the close version before approval; do not approve stale figures.
-
Verify Day closed, approver and time. Download Excel includes the saved report's summary, orders, categories, items, payments, adjustments and reconciliation. Preview exports are labelled as previews. Historical closes retain their original figures and identify unavailable detail.
