Requires policy-management access. Configure each property deliberately; business sender defaults can affect multiple properties.

Steps

  1. Open Guest Autopilot → Policy Studio for the property. Review enabled channels, inbound AI behavior, inbound approval behavior, lifecycle messages, action autonomy levels, upsell and goodwill settings.

  2. Set the inbound address-to-property mappings. Choose Validate inbound map, correct displayed errors, then choose Save all policies and verify the save succeeds.

  3. To use a custom sender, enter the Tenant default domain or Property override domain under Email Identities and choose its Save action. Only use a domain whose DNS you control.

  4. Copy the displayed DNS record types, hosts and values into that domain’s DNS service. Return and choose Check verification. Confirm the identity becomes verified and inspect Resolved sender; saving a domain alone does not verify it.

  5. To stop using an identity, select Disable and verify the resulting resolved sender before sending. Standard guest replies use the resolved identity, not an arbitrary address typed into an email.

  6. For module automation, select the Guest Experience autonomy level and choose Save Guest autonomy. Check the effective level and property ceiling; proposal-only, simulation or emergency pause can prevent automatic execution even when individual action levels are set.
