Steps

  1. Open Inventory → Recipes, choose Edit many ingredients, then Bulk import to display Import recipe ingredients. Download/use the recipe BOM template and supply one ingredient line per row.

  2. Upload the CSV or Excel file and review the preview, menu-item matches, ingredient inventory matches, quantities and units. Resolve invalid rows and unresolved Designer ingredients before committing.

  3. Enable Override existing recipes only when you intend to replace the complete BOM for each matching menu item, including unmapped or ignored Designer lines. Leave it off to preserve recipes according to the preview.

  4. Commit the reviewed import, then open the affected recipes and confirm the final ingredient lines and source locations. Import is distinct from an unsaved AI draft and must not be repeated blindly after an uncertain result.
