Use the saved room setup to prepare the cards needed for each door. Keep setup cards separate from guest cards.

Steps

  1. Open Commission locks in Staycore Encoder and load the property’s saved settings.
  2. Under Rooms to set up, select the rooms. Confirm each Lock room number with your installer, retaining any leading zeroes.
  3. Choose Save room setup, review the selected rooms and door numbers, and save the setup.
  4. In the Staycore web app’s access controls, open the saved setup and create the required System, Room Number Setting, and Clock Setting card drafts.
  5. In the encoder, open Card drafts → Refresh drafts. Select the intended draft, check its property and room, place the designated blank card on the writer, and choose Encode and verify selected draft. Keep it in place until the operation finishes.
  6. Follow the saved setup’s instructions at the door. Use the room’s own Room Number card and present its Clock card at the displayed planned time. Create a fresh Clock draft if the time has passed.
  7. Create and encode the required guest and staff check cards. Check the intended door, other-door rejection, and expiry at the physical door, following the installer’s instructions.
  8. In Door checks and finish, choose Record door check for each result. Complete the selected room’s checks before continuing to the remaining doors.
  9. Choose Finish room setup and wait for Setup completed. Confirm the room mappings and account for every setup card.

For everyday guest access, issue a card from the actual guest’s reservation. Setup cards are not guest reservation keys.
