For reservations under the new timing policy, managers, admins and owners can use the timing-fee controls in arrivals or stay details, or the folio-waiver controls in departures and in-house details.

Steps

  1. Choose Review balance waiver for a folio, or Review early check-in fee waiver / Review late checkout fee waiver for an assessed timing charge. Refresh and review the exact charge or outstanding balance. Resolve pending or unreconciled charges first; an unavailable review cannot authorize clearance.

  2. Enter Reason for waiving the balance and choose Waive outstanding balance, or enter the timing-fee reason and choose Waive early check-in fee / Waive late checkout fee. If the amount or financial evidence changed, refresh the review before confirming again.

  3. Check the resulting credit, linked folio reversal and remaining balance. Original bills, payments and tax records remain available; a waiver is not recorded as a payment. Partly paid bills receive credits only against their remaining unpaid liability.

  4. Continue the separate check-in or checkout action once all requirements are satisfied. Reception can still collect through Mark as paid, which uses the balance remaining after credits.
