Attach a file to an automation step that accepts images, audio or another supported file type.

Before you start

Select the property containing the automation. Prepare a supported file no larger than 8 MB and choose the environment in which it will be used. Audio transcription requires uncompressed WAV audio lasting no more than five minutes.

Choose or upload a file

  1. Open the automation draft and select the step that needs an attachment.
  2. In its attachment field, use Choose an uploaded file to select a suitable existing file.
  3. To add a file, expand Upload an attachment and set Attachment environment to Production or Sandbox.
  4. Choose the file under File (up to 8 MB). Selecting it begins the upload.
  5. Wait for the upload to finish and confirm the selected file’s name, type, environment and availability date.
  6. Review the step’s remaining settings and choose Save draft. Publish after reviewing how the step will use or send the file.

Expected outcome

The private attachment belongs to the selected property. Uploading it alone does not run Core AI or send it to an external provider. Its environment must match the run that uses it.

If the attachment is unavailable

Choose Refresh attachments and check your access, file type, size and expiry. A stored selection may need replacement if the file is no longer available. Choose a file type accepted by the selected step before running the workflow.
