Build a connected set of steps and save it for review. Select the intended property and make sure your staff role can manage Automations.
Steps
- Open Automations → Workflow studio and choose New workflow. Enter Workflow name and Description.
- Choose Add component and add the steps you need. Select a step to set its Step label and complete Configuration.
- Connect the steps in the intended order. On Canvas, choose an output and then the next step’s input. Alternatively, select a step, use Connect output to choose Outcome and Next node, and choose Connect nodes. Remove connections that no longer belong in the path. Review each branch of a condition separately.
- Under Inputs, choose where each value comes from: Entered value, Trigger event, Previous node output, Workflow variable, or Current loop item. For a previous output, select a value from a connected earlier step. If the list is empty, check the connections and the type of value the input needs. For an event value, enter its field path, such as
guest.completed_stays. - For repeated work or a nested sequence, configure the selected step’s For each item or Subflow editor. Connect its own steps and provide the inputs needed inside that sequence.
- Switch between Canvas and Form to review the same workflow. Moving a card changes its position; connections determine the order of the steps. Choose Save workflow draft.
- Choose Validate workflow. Resolve the listed issues, save again, and repeat validation. Use View revision history to inspect earlier saved versions.
Your workflow appears under Workflow drafts with its saved revision. Open Edit workflow to make further changes. Use Test this workflow to review its decisions with sample data.
If saving or validation is blocked
Complete the workflow name and correct fields marked invalid. Save unsaved changes before validation. If a connection is rejected, check that it leads to another step after the entry and does not loop back; use For each item for repeated work. If someone else has changed the draft, choose Save my changes as a separate draft to keep your edits in a new draft. To use the latest saved revision instead, choose Discard edits and load latest, then confirm that you want to discard your unsaved changes.
