Steps

Open Occupancy intelligence → Settings → Approved room devices. Choose Add device for a new device or select its existing labelled entry to edit the stored device.

Choose a mapped Physical room, enter Guest-facing name and Provider device ID, and select Control type: Light / switch, Air conditioning or Curtain. Verify the actual device and room before approving it.

Open Commissioned capabilities and provider template if commissioned values are needed. Capabilities JSON and Vendor template JSON must contain valid JSON objects. Light/switch and curtain devices use empty objects. AC capabilities use temperatures, fan_speeds and modes; temperatures are integers from 10 to 40, and vendor template fields are limited to the supported captured AC profile.

Select Approve this device for guest control after verifying its physical addressing only after the addressing is verified. Leave it clear while commissioning. Choose Save device and complete any requested security verification.

Confirm Configuration saved. and inspect the device's approved or staff setup label. Editing an existing device uses its current revision; a conflicting revision requires Reload current settings and another review. Do not use Add device to evade an edit conflict.

Enable the separate Guest IoT remote property setting when ready, and verify the approved controls through an authorized guest room session. Only approved room devices appear in guest controls. A requested device setting is not a measured physical reading.
