Connect an external account and make it available to the properties and automation steps that should use it.
Before you start
Use a staff role that can manage automation connections. Have the business account’s authorisation or credentials ready and decide whether it belongs to Production or Sandbox.
Connect and assign an account
- Open Automations → More → Connections.
- For provider sign-in, choose Connect account, select Provider, enter Connection name, choose Environment and select Continue to provider. Authorise the account and return to the same property.
- For credentials, choose Connect provider account. Complete the account details, Provider credential and Allowed operations, then choose Save provider account.
- For a fixed web destination, choose Connect HTTP endpoint. Enter its Fixed HTTPS endpoint, permitted methods, query field names and authorisation details, then choose Create HTTP connection.
- Use Properties to assign or remove property access and choose Confirm assignment change.
- Return to the workflow and select this account in the relevant step. Review and publish the draft.
Maintain a connection
Use Account details and Check account access where offered. Use Renew for sign-in accounts or Replace credential for credential accounts. For Slack or Microsoft Teams, Browse channels → List channels lets you choose Copy channel ID. Open Subscriptions to review provider subscription details and use Review and resume subscription after resolving its cause.
Expected outcome and recovery
Saving a connection does not execute the workflow. Use Revoke and Confirm revocation to prevent new actions with an account. An expired or revoked account requires attention before the original run can continue. Enter credentials only in connection forms, never in prompts or ordinary workflow fields.
