Publish a versioned group of automation steps and reuse that exact version in other workflows.
Before you start
Prepare a saved source workflow with a manual start and a completed test. Review its inputs, steps and outputs before publishing it as reusable work.
Publish reusable steps
- Open Automations → More → Settings → Reusable steps.
- Use Find source workflow and choose Saved source.
- Enter Name and Description so other editors understand the intended use.
- Review the saved revision, select the acknowledgement and choose Publish reusable steps.
Add a version to another workflow
- Open the destination draft and select its Subflow step.
- Choose Use reusable steps, then select Reusable workflow and Version.
- Choose Review reusable steps. Inspect the exact version and the steps it will replace.
- Select the review acknowledgement and choose Apply reviewed version.
- Configure the remaining inputs, validate and save the destination draft. Publish it after review.
Expected outcome
The parent workflow uses the selected version. Publishing a later reusable version does not change existing callers automatically.
Update or customise the steps
Use Publish a new version in Reusable steps for an update, or Create a separate reusable workflow for a different reusable sequence. In a parent draft, choose Use an editable copy instead when the steps need independent changes. Review and explicitly select a newer version when updating an existing caller.
