Steps
-
Select the intended property, open People → Staff, find the staff member and choose Edit staff member.
-
An administrator can change Property role using the built-in or active custom roles offered for this property. Check the person and Role at property, choose the role, then choose Save property role and complete any requested identity verification. Confirm Property role saved. Other property assignments are unchanged. This changes the property assignment without changing the shared account identity.
-
Admin, guest and terminal identities or assignments use their existing protected account controls; they cannot be reassigned here. If the assignment changed while you were editing, close and reopen the staff member to load the current role before trying again. A custom role must still be active at this property when saved.
-
Update the permitted name, department and active status separately. Retain at least one authorised property; adding access to a new property uses that property's Add Staff flow.
-
Save the form and confirm Staff member updated successfully. Saving this form is separate from Save property role.
-
To end access, choose Deactivate staff member, check the named person in the confirmation and confirm the action.
-
Verify the directory state and review payroll employment/contract consequences separately; deactivating an app account is distinct from completing payroll termination work.
