Requires inventory view access and the inventory feature; requests and adjustments need their own permissions.

Steps

  1. Open Inventory → Check stock. Review item count, low-stock count, total value and Stock by Location; quantities come from ledger movements.

  2. Use Search items, category, location and Low stock only filters, then apply/search. Inspect each item’s quantity, reorder level, unit cost and per-location balances.

  3. Choose Create Request when stock is needed at another location, or View Movements to trace its history. A low-stock badge does not automatically create a purchase order or change quantity.

  4. For period-level risk, open Inventory & Assets Dashboard, set the date range and review critical/overstocked items, inventory value and wastage trends. The Reorder text is a risk indicator, not a purchase button.

  5. Resolve discrepancies through receiving, transfers, counts or governed adjustments as appropriate, then refresh the dashboard to verify the ledger result.
