Start a separate workflow from an automation already saved at the property. You need permission to manage Automations and an existing automation to select.
Steps
- Select the property and open Automations → Workflow studio → Workflow drafts.
- Find Use an existing automation and choose the rule under Existing automation.
- Choose Create separate workflow draft.
- Review Workflow name, Description, steps, inputs, and connections in the editor. Make the changes needed for the new workflow.
- Choose Save workflow draft, then Validate workflow. Resolve any listed issues and use Test this workflow to inspect the intended branches.
The saved workflow appears as a separate draft. The original automation keeps its current version and status.
If the automation is missing
Check the selected property and confirm that the automation is saved there. If conversion returns an error, review the message and the original automation’s draft before trying again. If you left the editor before saving, repeat the conversion and save the new draft.
