Create an isolated property for automation journeys using synthetic customers, registered test resources and dedicated provider test accounts.

Before you start

Use an account administrator with property access. Prepare dedicated test accounts for external services. An operating property cannot be converted into a sandbox.

Configure the test property

  1. Open Automations → More → Settings → Sandbox.
  2. Enter Test property name, review the isolation acknowledgement and choose Create isolated test property. Complete identity verification if prompted.
  3. Switch to the new property and reopen Settings → Sandbox.
  4. Select People allowed to publish and run tests and Dedicated provider test accounts. Set Core AI in tests as required.
  5. Review the users, accounts and AI choices, select the acknowledgement and choose Save test policy.
  6. Under Test customers and resources, enter Test customer name and choose Create synthetic customer.
  7. For another record already created within the test property, choose Resource type, enter Test resource reference and select Register test resource.

Expected outcome

Authorised staff can use the isolated property and its registered subjects for sandbox runs. Real provider test calls and permitted Core AI usage can still consume provider or property allowances.

Stop sandbox execution

Expand Revoke sandbox execution, review the effect on unfinished runs, acknowledge it and choose Revoke test authority. Revocation cannot be reversed for that registration; recorded receipts remain available.

If a resource cannot be registered

Confirm it belongs to the selected test property. Use Preview for a sample journey without operational effects.
