Staff check-in confirms a guest's arrival against an existing reservation. It requires payment readiness, a suitable room and the identity details required by the property.

Steps

  1. Open Front Desk → Arrivals and find the reservation. Open its details and review Arrival progress, Check-in readiness, guest details, payment status and room assignment. Use the displayed continue action to open the next requirement; if refreshing fails, choose Retry arrival requirements before continuing.

  2. Resolve the stated blockers. Confirm payment or the approved billing arrangement through the booking's billing controls; selecting a room does not bypass billing readiness.

  3. Use Continue to room assignment or the room-assignment action, choose an available room of the booked type and choose Assign room (or Assign in the assignment dialog). If payment or billing approval blocks assignment, choose Resolve payment to open Billing and clear that blocker before retrying.

  4. Review the guest's ID. Use a matching verified ID where available, or use Choose file to attach a new image. Use camera → Capture ID photo is available when browser camera access is supported. Enter the other check-in details requested by the property's policy.

  5. Choose Complete check-in, or Upload ID and complete check-in when supplying a new ID. Wait for the completed status; the booking then becomes an in-house stay. Guest access, when available, appears in Access.

New reservations require an online timing check before admission. Historical bookings can still show Check-in queued after an offline action; reconnect and verify successful sync before treating check-in as complete or issuing guest access. Uploading an ID in the separate reservation editor does not itself perform check-in. Optional information deferred by property policy remains marked as pending. Online check-in approval, payment readiness and room readiness are separate checks.
