Steps
-
Unlock Order Hub for the correct outlet. The outlet's configured POS workflow determines whether the screen offers KOT-first or tab service.
-
For KOT-first service, select items and review the bill, then choose Send KOT or Send KOT items for a mixed cart. Wait for the sent-order confirmation before sending more items.
-
For tab service, open the Tab workspace and choose Open new tab. Enter Tab label or note and choose Save label when a recognisable party or table name is needed.
-
Add items to the active tab and choose Send new items to KOT. Sent items and new items are shown separately; review the new-item list before each send to avoid treating a saved tab as a dispatched order.
-
Use Latest KOT or KOT to print a sent ticket, and Print bill to review the bill. Printing is blocked while relevant items remain unsent or uncommitted.
-
For an outlet configured as Quick service with Tab Service, successful full payment through Take payment also completes the order, its remaining items and its open KOTs. Payment is the completion step for this counter workflow. Failed or incomplete payment, Charge room and Pay later do not complete the work. Delivery and room-service orders still require their separate fulfilment step. Full-service and KOT-first workflows keep payment separate from unfinished production; Ready alone does not complete handoff.
-
When payment is received, use Take payment and record the collection. The Tab receipt ready view stays open after settlement, even when the tab moves to Archived Tabs. Use Print receipt, then Done to return to the tabs; printing is optional, and a printing error does not undo the payment. Archived tabs remain available for later receipt printing. In full-service and KOT-first workflows, unfinished items remain in production. Offline payments are recorded locally and queued for synchronisation; resolve sync-attention messages before treating payment and completion as confirmed on Staycore. Completing production alone does not collect payment.
