Steps

  1. Open the configured Staycore Encoder desktop app for the correct property and connect the encoder. Use Scan for devices or Change port if needed, then confirm Encoder Device is connected.

  2. Choose Refresh in Credentials, search or filter for the intended draft, and select its row.

  3. Review Hotel access preview, including room, role/access type, validity and access points. Resolve any recovery requirement from an earlier write first.

  4. Choose Encode hotel access card. When prompted, place the card on the encoder and keep it there while writing and verification complete.

  5. For a workflow requiring additional cards, follow each explicit Write or Start prompt and inspect Cards written and verified. Verify every required part of the access set before handing it over.

  6. Confirm Card written successfully and the refreshed credential status. A cancelled or failed later card does not erase the already verified cards listed in the result, but any remaining access still needs completion.

Do not hand out a card whose write or readback could not be verified. Follow Recover a card write or lost-card action; a progress message alone does not establish issued access.
