Requires permission to view customer information and access to the selected property's customer. General default subscription controls do not establish explicit property WhatsApp permission.

Steps

  1. Open Engagement → Customers, select the guest and open Preferences & consent for the intended property.

  2. Find Property WhatsApp permission. Inspect the recorded status, time, source, notice version and consent text. No property WhatsApp consent recorded. means the property has no recorded WhatsApp permission for that guest.

  3. Treat a STOP as a property-wide withdrawal across its outlets. It suppresses proactive WhatsApp messages; a new booking, loyalty enrolment, ordinary inbound message or repeated QR scan does not reverse it. Staff cannot restore this permission merely by selecting the general WhatsApp subscription checkbox.

  4. A guest who wants to rejoin sends START in WhatsApp and explicitly answers YES to the newly delivered property notice, or chooses Menu + updates on a fresh QR-menu notice in the property chat. Verify the new record before considering proactive messages eligible. This history is evidence for the selected property, not consent for another property or proof that a message was delivered.
