Record the physical setup and door checks needed to activate room mappings in the PULMOS cards workspace. A person at each door records the result they actually observe.

Before you begin

Use an account authorised to manage door hardware. Preparing service cards and selecting their verified encoding records also requires card-issuance access. If your role manages setup only, work with an authorised issuer to prepare the cards and record the checks linked to their encoding results. Complete workstation setup and stage the room mappings. Have the property's designated service cards and the installer's lock-setting instructions available.

Steps

  1. Open Access Control → PULMOS cards and find the staged commissioning job. To create a job for existing mapped rooms, use Start a commissioning job, choose Commissioning type and Rooms to commission, then Create commissioning job.
  2. For a New installation or Replacement lock, use Prepare a card draft to choose the required System, Room Setting, or Time card. Select the Commissioning job and intended room where requested. Confirm the service card's purpose and scope, then create its draft. The hotel's original System card can also be used when appropriate to the installation.
  3. For a Time card, review Time to set at the lock in the property's timezone. Present that card at the selected time; prepare a fresh Time card if delayed.
  4. Open the configured encoder, choose Refresh drafts, select the intended service draft, and Encode and verify. Apply each verified card only to the intended doors, following the installer's physical procedure.
  5. Prepare a Door test draft for one room and encode it. Keep this five-minute card with the installer. Check that the intended door opens, an unauthorised door rejects it, and the card is rejected after expiry. For an Existing hotel job, verify the existing hotel identity and the corresponding door and expiry checks using the installed hotel's cards.
  6. In the job, open Record a physical door test. Select Tested room, Observed result, and the Verified encoding operation when requested. If you used the hotel's original System card, select that confirmation instead. Enter Physical test notes, confirm you observed the result at that door, and choose Record door test.
  7. Repeat every required setup and access check for every job room. Choose Activate verified doors and confirm Doors activated.

Expected outcome

The verified room mappings become active for card issuance. Keep service and test cards with the authorised team.

If activation is blocked

Review each room's recorded results and finish the missing checks. If property setup changed, use Cancel commissioning job, enter a reason, and stage the rooms again against the current settings. Cancelling a job releases the staged rooms; cards already written and physical lock settings still need to be handled at the property. Recover an interrupted card write before further encoding.
