Set up the property and Windows workstation used to prepare and write PULMOS room access cards. Use this guide for the PULMOS cards workspace in Access Control.

Before you begin

Select the property and use an account authorised to manage door hardware. Have the hotel's installed card family, original authorization card, room inventory, and designated encoder available. Keep this workstation assigned to the hotel whose locks it controls.

Steps

  1. Open Access Control → PULMOS cards → Property setup and room inventory → Hotel authorization and card family.
  2. Choose Installed PULMOS card family using the installed reader and locks. Confirm the room inventory, select Enable PULMOS drafts for this property, and choose Save property setup. Changing the family does not convert existing cards or locks.
  3. Download the encoder offered in the workspace. Open it on the Windows workstation, enter your Tenant name, Email, and Password, and choose Sign in.
  4. Choose the correct Property and Lock family, then Open property. Connect the designated reader and open Property setup.
  5. Choose Configure encoder and follow the hotel's original authorization-card or existing-configuration instructions. If registration is requested, use Enter registration code or Open registration utility with the details supplied for this reader.
  6. Choose Read station status. Confirm Encoder ready for this property before preparing a card. Use Verify authorization card when asked to verify the hotel's original card.
  7. Return to Access Control to map rooms and complete their door checks.

Expected outcome

The workstation recognises the intended property and reader. Room mappings and door checks determine which doors can be included in cards.

If setup needs attention

Use the displayed connection, registration, or hotel-authorization instruction, then read the station status again. Enter advanced authorization settings only when the installer has supplied them for this hotel. If property setup changed while the form was open, choose Reload setup values and review the current settings before saving. If the encoder shows a pending card operation, recover it first.
